replacing water pump on 98 honda civic DX

Please Help...

My car has been sitting for about 3 years in the drive way was running fine and was
started from time to time, but now trying to put it back on the road. Did a complete
tune up, with new spark plugs, gasgets, thermometer, oil change, gas change, anti
freeze, and new battery. Car started up fine after all this but after 20 mins of running
the tempature gage started to climb like it was going to over heat and engine light
came on. I think the water pump might be toast, any suggestions or help would be
greatly appreciated....

Sincerely and thanks,
Jason
