Astro armrest removal

This question was posted some time ago by another member with no replies. I'm having the same trouble, so I'll ask also.
I need to remove an armrest from a rear seat on a 2001 Astro van, hopefully without destroying it in the process. I don't see any obvious way. Anyone have any ideas how to do this?
Thanks!
