Our 99 ford taurus won't start, I replaced the battery. still nothing. I put the key in with the door open and the car dings but when I try to start it the instrument panel goes blank and nothing, not even a click.

. Check all under hood and under dash fuses with a test light or multimeter:

Remember, there's a 130A mega fuse at the end of the under hood fuse box that should also be checked.

. Inspect battery cables and clean main ground.

. Check the ignition switch for wear, pitting, or melting.
