91 Honda Civic - LED Reads 8?

The LED under the rug on a 91 Honda Civic - cranking but not starting has spark & fuel (just changed fuel pump evidentally without reason, Main Relay Test good) LED blinks eight times. #8 = TDC Top Dead Center Timing. Does this mean the timing is off? If so need a fix..probably a new belt as well but need alignment advice..

CroCivic - How have you been? I sent you an email....

Hey there Chubaka...I've been doing great, lots of nice things happened to me lately Met this great girl, looking to buy a 1.6 liters 130HP engine, got some unexpected cash...it can hardly get better

I replied to your email, but I'm not sure you will get the mail...remember, there were some problems with your filter and my address before.

Anyway...this error code 8 is a sign that something is wrong with the TDC sensor inside the distributor. There are procedures for checking if the sensor is faulty, or if some wires around the sensor just burned. I did send you an explanation how to troubleshoot it (in the mail), but if you don't get the mail, just unfilter email address [email address] and I will send it from there.
