98 honda accord audio "CODE e"
I replaced the battery on my Honda. Well the audio system disengaged and required a 5 digit code to reset. I obtained this code from the dealer. I entered the 5 digit code and nothing happens except shows "CODE e". The manual has little to say about this.. Anyone know?

From this old post, it would appear that you may have been given the wrong code:

    Hi,
Manufacturer's Codes can be a hassle!
My own car started acting "funny" with the transmission, or maybe the engine stuttering. Took it to my mechanic friend, checked it out with his computer systems, and showed a Code. Unfortunately, Ford Motor Co. doesn't release "fixing information" to mechanics!
So, after $200 later, at a Dealer, the problem was fixed with their computer.
This could be the same type of issue. If you can't fix it with the code given, and nothing else works, you might have to take it to a Dealer. Best of luck.

Have the dealership watch you as you install the code or have them do it... most of the time they will do it for free if you are not rude to the service manager
