98 1998 Honda Accord Ex Temperature Jumps Up And Down

hello everybody.. i have a 98 honda accord coupe ex v-6 with 87000 miles on it.. the problem im having is sometimes when the car is in drive or park for a few minutes the temperature gauge will go really high like the car is running hot.. the fans will come on but the gauge will still be really close to saying the car is overheating.. as SOON as i start to drive not more then 2 seconds later the gauge takes a dramatic drop back down like it was never up that high.. i dont even have to be going fast or moving at a high speed or traveling more then 20 feet and the gauge will drop back down.. can someone please help me because im about to sell the car and i dont want a potential buyer coming back to me with any problems.. thanks alot..
