96 s10 wont start

96 s10 blazer makes click sound when i turn the key and thats it. won't do anything else.battery is not dead,lights come on bright and don't dimm when attempting to start,and jump starting does not help ....thank you for any help

txgreasemonkey Cars & Trucks Expert Join Date: Jun 2006 Location: Undisclosed, Republic of Texas Posts: 4,886	Clean battery, starter, and starter solenoid connections. Most likely a bad solenoid. Remove neg. battery terminal first.
