96 Honda Accord ***won't Start****

A week ago my car started to act up and not start on the first attempt, I had the starter changed and did a regular oil change on the car since it was due anyway. I continued to have the problem I then had the spark plugs changed and timing/idle adjusted, checked all the fuses still the same problem. Has this ever happened to anyone else or does anyone know what to do? I'm at my wits end and need to get this problem fixed....PLEASE HELP!!!!!!

Can you say if you're missing fuel or spark when it won't start? Read the FAQ for instructions on how to check for each.

It is possible to get a bad starter from the get go and you may have to check and replace it. Also check all of the starter wires and battery wires, connections leading from the battery and going below. If you have replaced the spark plugs, wires, etc I can't see no other problem. Did you check the fuel pump, etc also. Again check the battery connections as well as the starter connections and wires and make sure everything is tight. If you go to Auto Zone they can do a free check for you, that is if you can get the car started. Good Luck!

Read sections A and B below, if you have a "crank but won't start" situation:
