    93 jeep grand cherokee
I just got a cherokee and it did not come with a manual... my question is where can I find a diagram for the fuse box? Also, the running light in the back does not work and I have tried new bulbs they won't work in it either, what should I do to get it fixed? Not trying to get pulled over for this... another problem I am having is the security feature, if that's what it is called... if I lock the doors and the back isn't locked, when I open the back an alarm goes off, am I supposed to have an alarm thingy with my keys? Also, does anyone know what kind of mileage these get?

    PLEASE HELP ME...

Hi, I also have a 93 Jeep Grand Cherokee, I've had it since 2000 and really like it. The best thing you can do is to go to an auto parts store and purchase a Haynes or Chilton Manual for a 93 jeep. These manuals cover several years of jeep and have wiring diagrams and other maintenance items, make sure it a Grand Cherokee. As far as the locks on them they are strange but they are designed to try and not allow you to lock your keys in them unless you really try. I did have an issue with my locks and found out a ground wire had broken where the harness comes into the door, like when the door is opened where the hindges are, it's a bundle of wires. As far as mileage mine is a 4.0 liter 4 wheel drive and I drive it in town and get around 13 mpg, at $3 a gallon it's kind of costly but I don't drive that much.

Why is it that on the panel on the inside roof shows that I am getting anywhere from 23 to 28 mpg when I am doing about 40 mph if you only are getting about 13?? Oh and mines a 6.0 and 4 wheel drive. Am I supposed to drive it in the 4 all the time or in neutral?

newlablover: My mileage chart shows the same MPG, but it's only paper, I drive in town, stop and go, plus the car is old I also use 20W-50 Oil since it has over 75,000 miles on it. As far as 40MPG, Amazing. Mine stays in neutral except when I need 4 wheel drive. Not sure if jeep made a 6.0 I believe you'll find out if you check VIN #. Count from left, the engine code letter is the 8th digit and the model year code letter is the 10th digit.
