92 honda civic

My Civic will not start. When it was running it made a rumbling sound like dut dut dut dut. So I change the spark plugs, the wires, the distributor cap and the rotor in the distributor. Now the car will not start and when I try to start it it will get to the point where it will almost start it just will not catch. Also the batter will die pretty quickly when I try to start it and I lose the power in the car.

I would focus on the igniter and coil. Many auto part stores can check them for free. If you plan on keeping the car, I would replace them. They are notorious, along with the main relay, for failing on these older Hondas.

Have you checked for spark? Can you hear the fuel pump run, when you turn the ignition to ON? These are two important tests to perform.
