Re: window wont go down

it probably is that either the window motor doesnt work anymore, which can be replaced (a little costly). or the buttons are broken and can be replaced (not as costly). unfortunately, i dont really know how to test for which one it is. but if your window moves at all and then slows down and or then stops, it is most likely your window motor dying.

Had a 1979 Pontiac Bonneville where the power window had one of the clips break that held the window when you engaged the button to move it up or down and came up cockeyed. Took it to a glass place and they took off the panel on the door, found a loose wire on the motor-fixed it and put a new clip on the window. Cost me $55.00 I believe the motor should it have needed replacement was $45.00-65.00 somewhere in that range.
