90 Accord electrical

I have a 1990 Honda Accord that has given me very few problems since purchasing it a year ago. However recently I've noticed an annoyance in the dash electrical system. Whenever I use the turn signal, in either direction, the lights on the dash flash as if the hazard lights are on. I've begun doing regular checks to be sure the same is not true on the exterior. On the outside everything appears to be fine, the appropriate markers, front and back, flash accordingly. So my issue may be more of a personal annoyance but still concerns me. Calling Honda service got me no where, only the 'bring it in and we'll look at it'. I'd rather fix it myself. Any idea what could be causing this and how it can be repaired?
