88 Honda Civic won't start

88 Honda Civic won't start

I look to check the code, but it only blink once. meaning there is no error code, but could that be right? I have even done a disgnostic on the igniter unit. my friends are saying i need a distributor. I think not. If anyne have had such problems, please help me out here!
