2000 Dodge Ram steering column

"I stopped at a stop sign yesterday and my steering column shifter is loose. It will not put the car in to gear. I can put the truck into gear by hand. (not fun) I have removed the cover under the steering column...it all looks electrical...Is there a relay or fuse that controls the shifter? Could it just be a loose wire?";

Thanks,
Scott
