2004 Honda Civic battery problems

I recently purchased a 2004 Honda Civic and after 1 month, I have to jump start the car in order to turn it on. It habitually is dead when I attempt to start it. Everything is turned off - I haven't taken the battery in to have it checked, but from reading other blogs, electrical problems seem to be generic with Honda's. Any wisdom before I remove the battery and have it checked?

Most likely, the only problem is a bad battery. Here are some additional thoughts that might help you:

Nathan Richards agrees: It gives my Dad a place to start in terms of what may need to be replaced. Thanks.

You rock txgreasemonkey. I'll give this information to my Dad who is working on my car as I am PCS'ing to Korea. He's a do-it-yourselfer like you and I'm sure he'll appreciate the heads-up and your Honda expertise. Have a good one and thanks again for the info.
