2002 Jeep Grand Cherokee Auto Transmission

I have a 2002 Jeep Grand Cherokee. 4.2 liter, auto trans, 2 wheel drive, 103000 miles.
For over 3+ months, maybe 3 or 4 times, I sometimes pull up to a light or stop sign and when I give my car the gas it doesn't go, the engine revs up, then it will go into gear without me doing anything. All the other times it works fine. no slips and all gears work correctly. It act like I take it out of gear and then put it back in gear. Any ideas??
