2001 dodge ram oil pump

Could you please tell me where the oil pump on a 2001 dodge ram 1500 is located. Do you have to take off the oil pan to get to it?

Yes, the oilpan has to come off. The pump is mount inside the pan, attatched to the bottom of the engine block.
