2001 Dodge Ram A/C with attitude

I am at a lost, my truck ac has formulated an attitude. At dead stop, it refuses to work and sounds like a clicking noise under the hood. When I am driving, the ac will start to work like there was never a problem in the first place. I thought it may be a leak (freon) but that didnt make sense either due to the fact that it works fine while driving. Anyone out there have a similar problem or can offer some help? Thanks
