My 2001 chevy venture will turn over but won't crank what is the matter?
My wife was driving to work. She noticed a loss of power then the engine died. I knew she had a vacuum leak so we fixed that problem but the engine will only turn over. It won't crank.

Won't crank or won't start? A different set of tests are involved.

. Check all under hood and under dash fuses with a test light or multimeter.

    . Check for codes.

It won't start? Or it won't crank? 2 different things. If it won't start, try the crank sensor. If it won't crank, try the battery or starter.
