1998 Honda Accord intermittently won't shift out of park after use. Wheel is not locked, car starts but won't shift out of park. Sometimes releases after turning car off and restarting, other times requires several attempts. May go for days or weeks with no problems and then starts again. Brake, locks and restarting all seems to have worked at least once but not consistently. Any thoughts?

I am no expert but my 98 Accord did the same thing. It was a brake sensor (located under peddle). I found the part at autozone and fixed it in my driveway...
