1997 Dodge Intrepid, Truble starting/ Rough Idle also

I have a 97 dodge intrepid. when i drive at times the car would just shut off and coast. once its stopped, it has a difficult time restarting and recently(twice) it wouldnt start at all. the lights come on inside, but nothing is turning over. i have no idea what it could be. can something like this be cause by my battery in mid drive? and how would i fix this?

1. Test all under-hood and under-dash fuses with a test light or multimeter:

2. Ensure battery is fully charged and battery terminals and cable connections are clean.
3. Check for codes. Autozone will do this for free.
4. Install new spark plugs--the exact make and part no. that came in the car.
5. Replace fuel filter.
6. If problem persists, replace the coil:

My diagnosis, from afar, is that the battery needs replacing.
