1996 Honda Passprot not accelerating right

I have a 1996 Honda passport and it’s been running pretty good up until about a month ago. When I accelerate it seem like it not getting enough gas and it does not want to go pass 30 MPH press all the way down on the accelerator it does not go as fast as it should. I gave it a tune up change the plugs, fuel filter, air filter, PCV valve, and that didn't do anything, took it to the shop the they put it on the computer and they said that no codes came up. They check the fuel pressure and said it was low so they change the fuel pump. Still the problem was there they said it might be the gas that was in the car and let it run out and put new gas in and still nothing. I talk to the mechanic and he said it might be the engine and that I will need a new one. All this it might be this and it might be that is eating my pockets, money is tight can’t keep putting money into the car. Has anyone been having the same problem or does anyone know what the problem it?

Have you had the fuel injectors checked or cleaned?

Test the Ignition Control Module (ICM) and coil. Many auto parts stores can do this for free.
