1996 Honda Accord - Wipers stopped working!

Hi Guys and Gals - new to the site, so go easy!

I drive a beat up 1996 Honda Accord 2.0i S. Today, when it was pouring with rain, the wipers just stopped working. At the time, they were set to 'intemittent'.

I've checked the fuse and it's not that (the squirt is still working), and I can hear the motor when I move the switch to any of the settings, but no action from the wipers themselves!

Any ideas as to what the problem/solution might be?

Any help VERY gratefully received!

Thanks.

If you can hear the motor run, yet the wipers don't work, you likely have a linkage problem. You need to remove the air scoop, by prying out the trim clips, and check things out.

Thanks mate! I'm under some time pressure to get this fixed quickly. Do you reckon if I took it to a garage it would be an expensive job?
