You likely need to reverse flush the radiator and heater core. It may be time to remove and replace the radiator or have it rodded and resoldered. Refill with a 50/50 mixture of recommended antifreeze and distilled water.
I also have a 96 dodge ram. The replaced the AC unit with a new one now there is greenish fluid draining out of the same spot. I have to pay $763 for a new radiator and heater coil. The parts are cheap but the labor is expensive.
