Have a scan done to see if there are any codes stored in the computer. You could have a faulty crankshaft position sensor.

. Test all under-hood and under-dash fuses with a test light or multimeter:

. Check for codes by attaching a code reader to the Data Link Connector under the dash.

. Replace the coil, since it sounds like the spark is very poor. Here's how to perform the standard spark test--remove a spark plug wire and attach it to a properly gapped spark plug, touch the plug to a convenient ground, and observe the spark, while someone cranks the engine. Look for a good, solid spark.

. Check for fuel. Do you hear the fuel pump run, when the ignition switch is turned to ON?

My experience with Chrysler products is that you only use the exact Champion spark plugs that came in the vehicle. I've seen Dodge trucks that wouldn't even start with other brands that shortly broke down.

I'm involved in a potential trade with a guy who has a 1995 Dodge Neon 4 door with a 3 speed automatic transmission. The top end of the motor was just redone, and the car was just repainted (due to the wonderful paint that the cars originally came with). I'd be trading my entire video game...
