1996 chrysler sebring

hello everyone! first time user, desperate times....any way i have a real good question for some one thats smarter than me! driving along the other day i noticed a slight miss i one of the cylinders, stopped at a signal light and when green hit i started to go then suddenly down to a sputter she went, trying to stay running i slowly was able to gain some speed to finish my travel to work.
at the end of the night i chanced the ride home. at sloww speed she sputtered but when gettin to highway speed around 70 mph she ran good until exiting. now i`ve had it to a chrysler shop and paid 85 bucks to no answer (they where wrong) i`ve changed plugs, wire`s,rotor, rotor cap, ect . now my fuel pressure is 49lbs psi. and she won`t even start now.

i`m getting a spark on the plugs and i`ve even shot fuel up the intake and still she won`t run at all... is the spark not hot enough under the fuel pressure? oh, timing is also good.

hoping some has an answer. thanks bugz

Try changing the fuel filter as it sounds like you are not getting enough fuel to properly power the car. Sometimes the simplest thing can make a huge difference.

Based on your symptoms, the problem may be the catalytic converter beginning to become clogged, but I'd have to see how much spark you're actually getting before I give the ignition coil a passing grade. You may have spark when testing outside the engine, but once you introduce compression and a fuel charge, your coil may not have the umph to fire the plug. You need to find someone in your area to do a proper diagnosis.

What did the Chrysler shop improperly diagnose? You say you spent $85 but they were wrong. Rich is right; if you went too long without doing a tune up, you very well may have damaged your convertor.
