How to test the igniter on honda civic 93 ?

Hi, I have no spark on my Honda civic 93. I have ordered a new coil. I have done the K-test and it was fine .. ! I have tested the reference voltage of my igniter and it was OK. Now I am willing to do a circuit test on my igniter .. I have seen a block diagram of the igniter and .. . I have replaced the coil by a resistor and checked the voltage as I let the ECU terminal touch ground potential. It did not switch on the transistor .. any idea ?
