1994 Nissan Pathfinder speedometer trouble.

1994 Nissan Pathfinder speedometer trouble.

My 94 Pathfinder is giving me a headache again....the speedometer works when it is warm outside but when it is cool the thing just bounces around. Does anyone have any ideas if it might be the cluster or the cable that I need to try to replace which one should I try first? Need to get out of a faulty equipment ticket fast.
