My 1993 toyota camry wont start?

My camry will not engage the starter? I coulnt find a starter relay, or maybe I just don't know what relay controls it. The car will start if I turn the key on an touch the small lead on the starter with a 12+ jumper. The battery cranks the car over just fine which makes me think its a relay, but I can't find it on the car. Is it listed as something else ? Any help will be greatly appreciatted

Sounds like a bad ignition switch, neutral start switch, or wiring. See if this helps:

Relays never fail on these, I'd look elsewhere. Try this, connect the starter wire back up, have shifter in neutral, E-brake on, w/left hand turn key to start, w/right hand wiggle shifter slightly between r&d. This is test for bad neutral saftey switch. Common fault on the older ones.

Hi My Daughters 92 Camry Does The Same Thing Starter Is Checked Out Ffine And Battery Is New If You Have Found Your Answer Maybe You Can Help Me?
