1992 chevy 1500 p/u wont crank

my p/u would at times not crank at all. Then after waiting a couple minutes it would. Now it wont at all. It has a sufficient charge. I was told it could be the starter. Also, because it would idle irratically, they said it could be the computer.

I suspect a bad battery. See if the link below helps:

Battery cables may be corroded or the battery may be the fault.
Check to see if the cables are able to be moved by hand. If so, the terminal connection inside of the battery may be broken. Be careful to not get any battery acid on your hands or your tools. If you do, rinse thoroughly with plenty of water and wipe dry.
Check both ends of both cable to make certain they and tight and free of any corrosion.
