Battery cables may be corroded or the battery may be the fault.
Check to see if the cables are able to be moved by hand. If so, the terminal connection inside of the battery may be broken. Be careful to not get any battery acid on your hands or your tools. If you do, rinse thoroughly with plenty of water and wipe dry.
Check both ends of both cable to make certain they and tight and free of any corrosion.
