1990 honda civic starting problems

hello....sometimes when i start my car ,it will start then stall out.the only way i can get the car going is if i rev the engine ..get the car going and get into second gear....it dosent always give me this problem,really only when there is people around,..lol...plus my car chuggs alot or atleast till the temp. guage reaches half way.

car has a new fuel pump,do i need to change the fuel filter?

oh and car has a 86-89 integra ZC motor
