Re: maintan

Best thing is to get a Haynes Manual for your year of car - available at parts store like autozone for under $15. They cover the maintenance schedule for that vehicle including a detailed list of what things to check at what mileage, and it tells you how to do it yourself. I just bought a '92 Trooper and I put new shocks, brake pads, and a power steering hose on it because those things were worn out. If it were running poorly, I would probably do a tune up: plugs, maybe wires, distributor cap & rotor and air & fuel filter. But the Haynes manual will tell you which items to check and replace. The very simplest thing you can do is take it to a mechanic for a thorough check-up. This is usually pretty inexpensive.
