92 1.5 honda civic

hello, my name is ivan

i have a question i am fixing a car for a friend, she wanted me to change the distributor for her because it was making a weird noise but the cars was runnig , i went to buy the part i got the distributor,cap,rotor, and spark plugs.i installed them i looked that i did not screw anything and that everything was installed right. but guess what no spark at all the car wont start i checked the part and i thought that something was wrong but no.what i dont understand is that why when i installed it know it wont work ,the car was runnig know it wont and i am mad and confused. can someone help please

Sounds like the bearing in the old distributor was failing.

Did you install a new Honda distributor housing? Did you install a new Ignition Control Module and coil? A number of members have installed new aftermarket distributors and they have not worked.
