03 honda civic with abs light on

i was driving very slowly and skidded out of control and clanced of a pole. The corner of the pssenger side bumper was ripped off and that head light was cracked. I drove home slowly and didn't hear anything wrong but on the dash the ABS light is on what does that mean and how does it effect me.
