02 Explorer door ajar light won't go off

Took drivers side door apart tonight and checked all wiring, found one wire broken but still to no avail the light is still on. ARRRGH . Thought fixing the wire would do the trick. this was in the bundle of wires that runs from the chassis to the door interior. This is very annoying because the interior lights won't shut off until you accelerate to about 5 mph in drive. Plus when you lock the doors with the fob, the truck beeps twice signaling that a door is ajar. What is the actual mechanism that to lets the comp know the doors are closed tight. Any help with this matter is greatly appreciated.

Thanks Rich

Thanks for the response. I tried the fix there and it seemed to work. Now only time will tell if I ever need to do it again. Thanks Again, Rich
