Whenever to start NGO, first name should be selected. Ensure that selected name must not exist. Hence proper check should be made with the local government where you want to register. While proposing the NGO's name provide atleast two alternative names.
The next step is incorporation with the local government where you are residing. The NGO also can be called as non profit organisation, voluntary organisation, people's organisation etc.

For getting the registration of NGO, various documents should be submitted which includes mission statement, programmes that can be undertaken, Board of members, staff, funding sources etc. Of course, memorandum of association, Bye-laws are mandatory.
