Need Suggestions for my own upcoming magazine

As some of you know, I am a freelance female Model. I am 23 yrs of age not married (sucks), no kids and no boyfriend and do Capoeira. lol, just had to add the Kicking peoples a**'s part in there. Yes, very in shape.

I've been working hours upon hours upon hours on my very own magazine. This magazine will be free to the public. It can also be delivered to your home and or business.

This magazine is for all nationalities and will be distributed nationally .It will also be on the web. It's coming along very well and I know I will be very successful in it.

I didn't realize how hard it was putting all this together. Did I go to college? Not for this. Matter of fact, by "trade or schooling or whatever you want to call it", I am a Medical Assistant--- Which was very boring, I might add. I've not done MA in 2 1/2 yrs.

Ok, down to the question...

As far as selling clients advertisement space in my magazine, what department should I request when calling these clients and what should I say to them?

Much appreciated.

If your client is a small business, ask for "the person who handles advertising decisions". If it's a larger business, it may vary... ask for "the marketing department" or still, the "department who handles advertising decisions"

Be prepared to make a good pitch with solid data. If I'm making a decision on spending money on a print advertisement, I want to know how many people are going to see the add/your publication and I want to know who your target audience is to evaluate whether or not I think that your target audience is my target audience.

Note that business owners are constantly bombarded by folks making this kinds of pitches. Be confident, present solid data (I won't advertise somewhere if I'm not sure who's going to see the ad), be professional (I was once approached by someone selling advertising space and they misspelled the publication that my ad would appear in - no thanks!) and don't harass them (for me, this is the ultimate turn off).

Finally, since you're putting a lot of good hard work into this, then hopefully you're researching your potential clients, too and making sure that their target market is your target market before even approaching them.

Good luck! Hope this helps!
