Insurance is insurance, you experience a coverd loss and it pays according to the terms of the insurance, ie. up to the max limits, etc., etc..... there are exclusions on all liability policies, ie doesnt cover intentional acts, illegal acts, etc. and if not legally liable may also pay atty fees for you to defend you in a court of law. I have never heard of an "indemnity" policy as you called it but simply put, liability ins is liability insurance period but can be issued for an individual or for a company.
