Some possible gains would be that you could make money to support yourself and your family, if you have one that you need to support, and building a reputation for doing great work so that you will potentially have a large base of customers because word will have gotten around about the great job that you do. You could also learn some new things such as how to do some things that might require some specialized knowledge, such as caring for various types of floor surfaces. Being able to maintain different floor surfaces properly can bring the potential for more income.

Some possible risks might be that, if you don't do a great job, then word can get around to people concerning that. Also, there are the potential health risks involved. Such as, working around dust and using various types of chemicals without utilizing the proper protective gear to protect yourself from the hazards to which you are exposed.
