Contacting to place bids

How would you go about contacting a company to place a bid? Or who would you contact? Also how much capitol would it take to get started?

I take it that you are wanting to start some kind of cleaning business. But, what type of cleaning business will it be? Knowing that will make a difference in the information that you will get in an answers.

If your type of cleaning business is to clean the inside of homes and offices, then you might also want to have a look at the information on the following links.

I think that the best thing for you to do would be to call around to other cleaners in the area and see what they are charging. Also, you might ask some business people that you know, what they are paying. There can be many variables as far as the pricing because of things in the office, what the client is wanting done, what the client will provide as far as cleaning supplies, when the hours will be for you to work and how much you will work, etc. It's best for someone to actually see the work area first in order to give some sort of quote on price. It wouldn't be fair for anyone here to give a quote on a price without seeing in person, the area that needs to be cleaned. Plus, know one here knows the possible price ranges in the city or town where the work will be done because you have not provided it.

You can get a general idea of costs by calling around.

You might also like to check out the links that were provided in my answer above.

Another thing that you might do, is figure out the hours that it is going to take you to do what the customer is wanting and figure out what you will want to make per hour based upon the going rates for similar work around where the work will be done.

Stringer agrees: I agree Clough; too much info is lacking to help properly. I would ask, are you very new to this business, it sounds as if you are. Take Clough's advice, if not you could find yourself under contract and loose you a~s. CLIENT WILL NOT BE HAPPY EITHER
