About ten years ago I borrowed a book from a friend, who has since deceased. I could not put the book down until I finished it. It grabbed me right from the first paragraph. It starts out with a woman in a lake, being held underwater by someone standing on the dock. Then the book goes back into another time discussing the people in the book, and the death of this one girl. I sure would like to read more from this author. The author is female. Sound familiar to anyone??
