Hopefully someone has read this book and can remember the title and/or author. I know this is a long shot. The book is a very old book regarding the Russians who created an underground city which looked American. They placed couples in this city who could pass as Americans and had them raise their children there with perfectly good English and a knowledge of the American customs. As adults they came to America and were able to hold major political offices. Raised spies so to speak. Any assistance would be greatly appreciated.

Judy I seem to remember that plot though I did not read the book myself. The possible title that comes to mind is "Deep Cover". I think it is something my mother reccomended that I couldn't get into for some reason. Hope this helps.

During the Cold War, the Russians did have an underground city(more than one), located in the Ural Mountains. But these were strategetic military locations, built for nuclear war survival.

Now I did see a movie based on your topic where Russia had created an american city and it was eseentially a deluxe spy/infiltration school. I wish I could remember the title. Have been searching and nothing pops up yet. Will keep on looking.
