santa's salty soup

i'm looking for a childrens' story written by vadonna jean leaf. i believe it was in 1972, possibly a weekly reader book. it's about mrs. claus making soup for santa that was too salty (too many cooks), but the soup was the perfect tonic for santa's ailing reindeer.
