Hello all! I've been abundantly blessed by my virtual coffee chats with so many of you in this wonderful forum on Books and Literature! (The Relationship forum is fun too, but this is where inspiration comes from... "the stuff dreams are made of" )
Anyways... We all have favorite quotes, quotes that have touched a chord in our hearts and minds, quotes that have influenced our decisions, inspired us to go that extra mile, give us courage to face the day, and shown us what real living is like.
Lets share these divine inspirations with our little world here - on this little posting. I'll start with one of my all-time favorites....
Being a star-gazer myself and being the proud owner of a tempestuous personal history, this is one of my favorites - it reminds me that no matter what is swirling around me at a given time, I can get through it.
"The most tempestuous wind cannot disturb the quiet of the stars."

"Father forgive them for they know not what they do" - Our Lord
I hope you all don't mind me throwing that one in. But it's a nice reminder to me that if Our Lord could have forgiven, especially during the time that he said that, shame on me for not doing the same if far less difficult circumstances.
May all of you have a beautiful day.
Allheart, how refreshing it was to read this quote! You know how sometimes, timing is just perfect? You touched my heart by quoting our Lord and Savior and I thank you. We get so busy sometimes, we buzz through the day. It was just so nice to have a quiet reminder of such an important quote with such power behind the words. Thank you!
Mother don't worry, I killed the last snake that lived in the creek bed
Mother don't worry, I've got some money I saved for the weekend
Mother remember being so stern with that girl who was with me?
Mother remember the blink of an eye when I breathed through your body?
So may the sunrise bring hope where it once was forgotten
Sons are like birds, flying upward over the mountain
Mother I made it up from the bruise on the floor of this prison
Mother I lost it, all of the fear of the Lord I was given
Mother forget me now that the creek drank the cradle you sang to
Mother forgive me, I sold your car for the shoes that I gave you
So may the sunrise bring hope where it once was forgotten
Sons could be birds, taken broken up to the mountain
Mother don't worry, I've got a coat and some friends on the corner
Mother don't worry, she's got a garden we're planting together
Mother remember the night that the dog had her pups in the pantry?
Blood on the floor, fleas on their paws,
And you cried 'til the morning
So may the sunrise bring hope where it once was forgotten
Sons are like birds, flying always over the mountain
Thanks Jrebel
Not exactly quotes that have influenced my life but HC did say a few pages ago we could add some fun one's :-) ( I hope )
Got to have fun ones! I called my sister who lives in Tenn., just a few minutes ago just to share these with her. She laughed so hard. Laughter is such good medicine. Thanks again. That second one sure influences my life.................I don't think I will be skydiving anytime soon........loved it...just loved it!
"I don't want to play anymore and you can't make me! It's my sandbox, darnit!"
~An HC/LifeH original~
(Yes, I have watched all of Buffy and own all of Angel) Buffy: I'm cookie dough. I'm not done baking. I'm not finished becoming who ever the hell it is I'm gonna turn out to be. I make it through this, and the next thing, and the next thing, and maybe one day, I turn around and realize I'm ready. I'm cookies. And then, you know, if I want someone to eat m- or enjoy warm, delicious, cookie me, then that's fine. That'll be then. When I'm done. Angel: Any thoughts on who might enjoy - Do I have to go with the cookie analogy? Buffy: I'm not really thinking that far ahead. That's kind of the point. Angel: I'll go start working on the second front. Make sure I don't have to use it.
[starts to leave] Buffy: Angel. I do. Sometimes, think that far ahead. Angel: Sometimes is something. Buffy: Be a long time coming. Years, if ever. Angel: I ain't gettin' any older.
