poetry search...

hi!
does anyone have any interesting ideas for poetry that fits in with a wedding theme? i was thinking more along the lines of ee cummings and less along the lines of browning or shakespeare... perhaps something a little unusual?

Theres a great book that has what your looking for in it and more, "A World of Ways to Say I Do", it's by Noah BenShea and Jordan BenShea. It has Unique/unusual/fun Vows, Readings, Poems, and different customs, It's about $10 to $15 US. Barnes and Noble has it, and probably other book stores too.

there's a really beautiful poem - but i'm not sure who wrote it, its about an arrow that was shot into the air and a song and the last two lines are something like, 'and i found the song in the heart of a friend' - its very romantic!! maybe someone else knows who wrote this???

Hey there Cookie!
Thanks! I found it... In case you're looking for it again, it's here:

"I shot an arrow into the air,
It fell to earth, I knew not where;
For so swiftly it flew, the sight
Could not follow it in its flight.

I breathed a song into the air,
It fell to earth, I knew not where;
For, who has sight so keen and strong
That it can follow the flight of song?

Long, long afterward, in an oak
I found the arrow, still unbroke;
And the song, from beginning to end,
I found again in the heart of a friend."
-- Henry Wadsworth Longfellow

Hey!
I probably won't use it in the ceremony - but I will use it for a game we are having at the reception!
It is really lovely!
