Find books that are not boring ?

IF you are reading something that interests you, you would not be bored.

Image the book in your head as you read it, try to see it happening

shygrneyzs agrees: I agree - reading something enjoyable is far easier than reading a book on statistics, unless, of course, that is one's field.

What else are you doing when trying to read? Is the television on? Are you talking to other people? Is there music playing that distracts the full attention? Have you created a peaceful environment in which you can read and stay interested in a book?

As Fr Chuck states, when you find something you are genuinely interested in, you will not be bored. If the inability to pay attention to what you are reading persists, then I would say go to your doctor. Sometimes people who suffer from depression, anxiety, stress and stress related conditions have a distinct lack of the ability to focus and concentrate.
