Im sure this book was set in America , and I remember reading it in the 80s , however cannot remember the title or author , although Im sure it was written by a lady .
What i can remember of the story , its about a group of brothers , 4 or 5 of them who live at home with an abusive father . im sure one of them thinks he has killed the father and they all leave home together to find someplace else to live - thats pretty much about all I can recall, other than that 1 of the brothers ends up falling out with the rest of them,but all end up being reconciled in the end .
