Depending on your level of pain its hard to tell you if it hurts or not, but not only that, there are cases of people having really bad infections from tongue piercings affecting not only their mouths but faces too.

tickle is right, whether it hurts you or not depends on your tolerance for pain. It didnt hurt me, but that may not apply to you. I know this sounds like a no brainer, but the only way you can really know if its going to hurt is to just get it done. What may not hurt someone else may hurt you, and vice versa.
