the ink molecules are too large to pass through to breastmilk, and they cant really even get that far because the ink is only shot into the 2nd and 3rd layers of skin. Just make sure to go to a reputable tattooist to prevent disease such as hepatitis. Make sure the artist is in a very sterile environment. You def. dont want an infection. Although I have to say that most good tatooists will not tattoo a woman who has given birth until their child is at least 1 year old, to give that womans body adequate time to heal before causing more trauma. hope that helps.

But why not wait till after you are done breast feeding, I can't see the rush. But if you want to rush it, talk to your personal doctor and see if they have any concerns.
