My navel piercing seems to be healing well, but why has the top hole gotten bigger?
    • I've gotten my navel pierced for the third time 2 weeks ago. The healing process has been pretty well. Since I've gotten it I haven't been feeling any pain. The redness came and went. There was swelling for about 3 days and now it's been having dry skin around both holes which is slowly peeling off. The lymph and sebum secretions are normal. Basically the experience has seemed normal. I care for my piercing by using ONLY H2Ocean and warm water. I wash around my piercing with Dove Mild Soap - not on the holes. I don't over clean at all, I clean it twice a day. I don't play with it at all or move it, only when cleaning it and when I do clean it I barely move it then either. I don't sleep on it. The holes have been scabbing. For one thing, I just want to confirm that everything Im experiencing is normal, and that I'm surely doing the right thing. I don't use Bacitracin, Bactine, Peroxide, Alcohol or anything else. My piercing doesn't seem to be showing signs of infection whatsoever.
    • Today, I realized that the top hole enlarged a little. The ball isn't sinking into the top hole at all. I'm just curious as to why this is happening and if it's rejecting or migrating. Right now, my piercing doesn't hurt. It hardly secretes lymph, only a litte cottage cheese looking stuff (sebum). It's not red, the holes are a little darker than my skin color. It doesn't look or feel iritated at all. It feels like it's healed beause I can clean it without it hurting one bit. This makes me feel like it's doing well, but I'm still concerned as to why the top hole suddenly got a little bigger. This is my third and last time getting my navel pierced so you can assume that I'm very proactive with this one. All comments and help are welcome.
